John and Mable Ringling Museum of Arts

Mote Marine Laboratory

This attraction began as a small shark research facility and has grown to one of the worlds few privately owned marine research facilities coupled with a public aquarium and it receives around 400,000 visitors each year.

Florida Railroad Museum

This attraction is a museum on wheels. The train itself is the museum and it takes visitors on a 13 minute ride. They also offer themed rides at varies times during the year. Cars can be rented out and you can even ride in the cab. You can even be the engineer. Through a special program, you can rent the locomotive for an hour and learn how to operate the controls and drive the train yourself.

Classic Car Museum

This is one of the largest 'living' classic car museums in the world. It is termed 'living' because the stock is constantly being updated with trades and new acquisitions. With over 100 classic cars, this attraction is a must see for enthusiasts. The museum is open during the day and then comes alive at night with fine dining and dancing among the cars. Some notable cars on exhibit are John Lennon's Mercedes, and a dragster from Don Garlits.
