Siesta Key is a small barrier island just across the bay from Sarasota. One this small island are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The white powdery sands rival the more famous beaches of Cancun or Boracay. There are actually three beaches on this island - Siesta Beach, Turtle Beach and Crescent Beach.

Siesta Beach boasts 40 beautiful acres of beachfront and is home to a large public beach which offers a variety of amenities for guests. There is a concession area with food vendors and a shady picnic area complete with picnic tables. Picnic shelters can be reserved in advance based upon availability. Restrooms and showers are available as are plenty of parking spaces. The parking areas can handle hundreds of cars but during peak season and on weekends, you may have to wait on a space. When you tire of playing in the surf, you can play beach volleyball or soccer. Kids will enjoy the playground equipment and adults can work out on the outdoor fitness equipment. In addition, Sarasota holds festivals and events on the beach throughout the year for sports buffs, artists, and kids to take part in.
